favs of the week

Let's be honest, aesthetic is a big part of our society today. From Instagram feeds to belongings, everything needs to look tumblr-worthy, or else what's the point? Here are a few of my favorite things this week:

1. punny stickers

While a few stickers can add a little embellishment to pretty much anything nowadays, these vinyl stickers pretty much elevate that aesthetic to a whole new level. These stickers are not only punny, but they are adorably drawn and feature some my favorite animals (sloths on a unicorn floaty, anyone?) In addition, they also sell greeting cards and enamel pins of the same design!

2. delicate jewelry
Currently, delicate jewelry is a trend that everyone loves. From bracelets to rings to necklaces, this trend allows the wearer to exude a sophisticated, mature vibe without cluttering the rest of the outfit.

3. wedges
We can all appreciate wedge style shoes, no matter how tall we are. They come in handy, especially for events where you want to look nice, be comfortable, and don't feel like falling flat on your face wearing narrow-heeled points on the bottom of your feet. As graduation is coming up, wedges would be a worthy investment, even for people like me who don't need that extra height.

4. Inception
Amidst all the events during the last week of high school, my classes either partook in finals or chose to relax by watching movies. One of my classes watched Inception and I gotta say, it was pretty good, especially after we learned about postmodernism and its constructs in society (is anything actually real or is everything a construction that makes up our reality?) Also, who doesn't love seeing Leo DiCaprio on the big screen?!!

These are my favorites of the week and I look forward to seeing what you guys have to say about these favorites! Comment your favorites down below!

"work hard, play hard"

This quote means a lot to me especially since high school is coming to a close and I am starting a new chapter of my life. I am prepared to work very hard to get into the career I want to pursue, but I also want to take in all the life experiences that college can offer me.

These are a few of my favorite things...

School is ending, and as a senior in high school, there are some things I didn't realize or discover until the very end. Here are a few tips and tricks that I would like to share:

1. Study efficiently!
Sometimes assignments take a while, and study tools are the best way to go about it! Invest in a planner, some quality pens for my bullet journal users out there, and use online resources!
Also, some good study hack platforms:

  • annotate.com

2. Have fun!

You only go through high school once, so you might as well make the most of it! While grades are still important, it is equally important to let loose, have fun, and make memories (take some pics while you're at it)!
